All proceeds from our virtual festival 2020 will go directly to our NHS Heroes @ Yeovil District Hospital.

Since we cancelled the Festival for 2020 our little band of organisers have been very disappointed about not being able to raise money for local charities. Just in case you didn’t know, ALL of the proceeds from EVERY single Yeovil Beer Festival since the first one in 2013 have been donated to local good causes. So we thought we’d do a Facebook fundraiser to benefit Yeovil District Hospital, which needs our help more than ever. What we’d like from you is that if you intended to buy a ticket to come to YBF 2020 then, if you can, donate that money here directly to our local Hospital to support our NHS Heroes.

We are sad to announce that the Yeovil Beer Festival committee have taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Festival which was due to take place at Westlands on the 24th and 25th April. We have weighed up every option and with the current Coronavirus outbreak have agreed that holding the Festival on the planned date may pose too much risk to public health. As an event which donates all its proceeds to charities this is not something that we ever considered or wanted to do. We have considered many ways to mitigate the risk, but many of these would increase the running costs substantially and therefore significantly reduce the proceeds that we would be able to donate to the local good causes that we are proud to support. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers and performers who had pledged their support for 2020 and hope that you will still be happy to be involved in the future. If you have already purchased tickets for the 2020 festival Westland’s Box office will be in touch with you to arrange a full refund. Don’t worry we are definitely on a break and not at an end. We look forward to seeing you all for a bigger, better and healthier Festival on 23rd and 24th April 2021!!!
